In brief
What works, what to weigh
+
Strengths
4 reasons to book- Central but quiet location — Guests repeatedly note the hotel is within walking distance of the centre and main sights, while sitting in a residential area.
- Soundproofed, recently refurbished rooms — Multiple reviews highlight the soundproofing and modern condition of the rooms, with some enjoying balconies and kitchenettes.
- Helpful, friendly staff — Guests describe the reception team and owner as polite and accommodating, including an early check-in and late checkout.
- Breakfast exceeded expectations — The continental breakfast is called savoury and even 'amazing' by guests, and some note it was included in a good price.
–
Worth weighing
4 to weigh- Rooms and cleanliness rated lower — The hotel's score for rooms and cleanliness is 6 out of 10, the lowest category, though individual reviews praise the rooms.
- Dining gets a middling score — The dining category is rated 6, even though breakfast is generally well reviewed. This may stem from limited on-site dining options.
- Compact property with 22 rooms — A small hotel may feel limited in facilities, and availability can be tight. There's a garden and lounge, but no pool or fitness centre.
- Pets are not allowed — The hotel's policy prohibits pets, which may be a constraint for travellers with animals.
